ABOUT THE PROJECT

In Immendingen, near Lake Constance, the “Smart Living Immendingen” residential quarter is being developed in two construction phases, featuring a variety of building types.

Project overview

• Modern living comfort combined with ecological and social sustainability

• A diverse mix of apartments with 4 one-room, 57 two-room, 49 three-room, and 6 four-room units

• 14 apartments are barrier-free (R standard); all others meet QNG accessibility requirements

• Energy efficiency rating A+ for each building

Location and urban context

Facilities for education, sports, healthcare, and daily needs are all within walking distance of the neighborhood. In addition, Immendingen offers convenient transport connections to various regional centers via highways B311 and A81.

Key features

Complex civil engineering works

The project requires permanent slope stabilization with elevation differences of up to eight meters, implemented as an anchored bored pile wall. A targeted system for draining standing water and heavy rainfall protects the construction site from erosion and hydraulic stress. An additional rainwater retention system with controlled discharge ensures safe drainage even during extreme weather events.

Sustainable heat supply

The neighborhood’s energy supply is centrally managed via heat pumps powered by geothermal energy. The electricity required for this is generated by photovoltaic systems installed on the rooftops. The combination of geothermal energy and solar power enables a sustainable and efficient heating solution.

Community-centered living

This neighborhood is designed with community in mind. Shared spaces such as three playgrounds and a central meeting point create a vibrant environment that fosters interaction and exchange.
